She took off
her widow's garments and covered herself with a veil, wrapping herself up, and
sat at the entrance to Enaim, which
is on the road to Timnah
Petach Enaim, The Place of Door of the Eyes
ENAIM- e-na'-im (`enayim, "double fountain")
Ptach Enaim
also means = THE place where the eyes are open
Petach (an opportune opening) + Enaim from ayin (an eye = eyesight
plus favor or presence plus regard)
Heb. the door (opening) of eyes, or of Enajim, Some think ainayim means “the two fountains,” or
“double fountain;” TSK
The
present significance
The
petach enayim is the place where the
first gospel preached to the Jewish people occurred and where the Jewish people
received it with joy and has opened their understanding of Yeshua.
This
is probably New York City
today. Dr. Mitch Glaser, President, Chosen
People Ministries wrote:
Our present growth is built upon the strong foundation
established by the founders of Chosen People Ministries. In 1892, Rabbi Leopold
Cohn, a recent immigrant to New York City from Hungary,
was walking on the Lower East Side of Manhattan among thousands of other new
Jewish immigrants when he heard a Jewish preacher proclaiming the Gospel in the
Yiddish language. Rabbi Cohn stopped to speak with this man and eventually gave
his heart to the Messiah. After receiving his theological training and leading
his wife, Rose, to the Lord, Rabbi Cohn established the Brownsville Mission to
the Jews. From these humble beginnings, Chosen People Ministries now serves the
Jewish people all over the world.
Covered herself with
a veil - would
mean the first messianic strategy. Tactfulness, prudence and sensitivity are
important elements employed at the first.
Gen 38:21 And he asked the men
of the place, "Where is the cult prostitute who was at Enaim at the roadside?" And they said,
"No cult prostitute has been here."
The
roadside; Hebrew derek the road, figurative of the way of salvation
in Yeshua. Some translations say at the crossroad
– which means two intersecting roads. At this age there are two lean pathways
leading to the road traveled by a Jewish believer. One road is called Hebraic
Christianity; the other is called Messianic Judaism.
Gen 38:22 So he returned to Judah
and said, "I have not found her. Also, the men of the place said, 'No
cult prostitute has been
here.'"
Messianism
is the theology Yeshua taught to the first Jewish disciples and then to the
rest of the Jews but the majority of the Jews were unwilling to receive the
Gospel of the covenant. (Er was unable to bear a progeny with Tamar). The
unbelieving Jews call it harlotry of the highest kind. The men of the place - who
have knowledge of their community confirmed that there was no harlotry on that
certain road.
Gen 38:23
And Judah replied, "Let her keep the things as her own, or we shall
be laughed at. You see, I sent this young goat, and you did not find her."
Gen 38:24
About three months later Judah
was told, "Tamar your daughter-in-law has been immoral. Moreover, she is
pregnant by immorality." And Judah said, "Bring her out,
and let her be burned."
Gen
38:25 As she was being brought out, she
sent word to her father-in-law, "By the man to whom these belong, I am
pregnant." And she said, "Please identify whose these are, the signet and the cord and the staff."
Gen
38:26 Then Judah identified them and said, "She is more righteous than I,
since I did not give her to my son Shelah." And he did not know her again.
Signet, Cord, and Staff
The figurative Zerrubabel (The Sofer of Elijah who is to come), the twine-looking messages of the Bible code, Jewish Life is extended to the next age (staff)
The Signet, cord, and staff are important
elements to the realization of Judah
that Tamar is all along correct and righteous. He acknowledged that those
insignias are his.
The
signet ring Chothem, or chothemeth, is properly a ring-seal, with
which impressions were made to ascertain
property (a signature property of)
The cord literally means twine
paw-theel'
From H6617; twine:
The staff = life support or extender of Judah’s life.
In Hebrew it is mat-teh', mat-taw'
From H5186; a branch
(as extending); also a rod, whether for chastising (figuratively correction),
ruling (a sceptre), or walking (a staff; figuratively a support
of life, for example bread): - rod, staff, tribe.
The Significance of the Mysterious and Hidden Bible code
“How abundant is Your goodness, which
tzafanta (You have hidden) for those who fear You (Psalms 31:20).”
The Bible code is actually a Jewish property.
When the children of Israel
received the Torah in Mount Sinai – God revealed
to Moses something beneath this Torah (through the Jewish Oral Law).
He opened the mind of Moses about this secret.
He revealed to Moses a little slice of it, a portion of it was hidden (Afikomen).
Moses then wrote:
Deu 29:29 The secret things belong
unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong
unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of
this law.
This verse can be truly understood if we read
some passages prior to this – But the idea is this – after all the curses
written in the book had been completely
inflicted to the children of Israel in
the last days (which we are now), when
seemingly all hope of Jacob has gone, the thing that which was not inscribed in the Torah nor in the writings of
the prophets and that which God has been hiding all these centuries will then
be revealed to them in those last days.
Meanwhile, they should busy themselves
with what is given to them. For the things that were inscribed to them or had
been revealed to them in the Torah are already complete and must be obeyed in
perpetuity.
In other words, the children of Israel
should only put their attention with what is inscribed or revealed for them.
They should not dabble with “mysteries” or secret things – since these are
God’s business.
Although in the last days of this age “Church Age” one man will
be given the knowledge to understand the whole creation in relation to the
counsel of God.
This man is prophesied in the sacred book of Enoch. He is Elijah whom the Jewish people are waiting year after year in their doors during the Passover Seder.
Book of Enoch Chapter 91 - Elijah who is to come
10 And at its close (at the close of the Church age) shall be appointed
The elect righteous of the eternal plant of righteousness,
To receive sevenfold instruction concerning all His creation.
This man is
the “Elijah who is to come” in the book of Malachi.
Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
Malachi 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Malachi 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
In
these last days, the Yeled of Jacob,
will be shown the ‘secret’ which God will reveal to them. That secret is the
bible code and the exposition of the biblical texts unbeknownst to them. It will be revealed even before the beginning of the sounding of the seventh
angel.
The bible code is to be founded by Elijah (Eliyahu)
Rips (the blacksmith, Isaiah 54:16) but will be expounded by Elijah who is to
come (the carpenter - the expositor) before the advent of the Moschiach.
The Bible code is a testimony to the infinite goodness of God to those Jewish elect who fear Him in this
last generation and to the whole House
of Jacob.
One should not take away any letter, even the
smallest one (yod) or the least stroke of a pen (vav) in any point in the
Bible. Why is this so?
Because once we do that, all the encrypted messages will
be destroyed (especially those encrypted in long skips). If there are say, 1000
encrypted messages with long ELS skips, we may not be able to decipher even one
message.
This is the reason Yeshua prohibits taking out even one small letter
from the writings of the Old Testament (Tanach).
Mat 5:18 For truly, I say to
you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota (Hebrew letter yod), not the
least stroke of a pen (Hebrew letter vav) , will by any means be taken out from
the Law (inscribed teachings) until everything is accomplished.
The discerning Jews would readily acknowledge
it when they find what is their own – the twined bible code. That is the
implication in the story of Judah.
The bible code matrix of messages looks exactly like twine elements (letter
connects to another letter). Every Jew had every right to be mystified by it –
as he will identify it as his own. When the Jewish people find it,
it will
enlighten them of Yeshua (their long rejected and resisted Moschiach) which in
turn extends their life-being through the next age.
Gen 38:26
Then Judah identified them
and said, "She is more righteous than I, since I did not give her to my
son Shelah." And he did not know her again.
The Bible code is that piece of Matzah, the afikomen (dessert) which was
hidden for a long time from the eyes of a
Jew but
now is found (by the children; i.e. the Jewish young adults – yeled of Jacob). There
is a great reward of salvation and a deeper connection to His maker waiting for
those who find it.
God loves to hide
things for His own glory. He reveals it in His proper time.
Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to hide a secret but
the glory of kings is to search out
that secret matter
Job 15:8 Have you heard the secret of God?
Psalm 25:14 The
secret of the LORD will be given to
them that fear him; and he (Elijah) will show them His (Hashem) covenant
The founding of the bible codes (by Elijah
Rips, the blacksmith) and the expounding of the scriptures from the beginning (Elijah
the carpenter; that is the expositor who is to come) using these codes will conclude
the mystery or secret of God.
Revelation 10:7 - But in the days of the sounding (disclosure) of the
seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the secret of God should be finished, as he hath
declared to his servants the prophets. Also read 1Cor. 13: 9-12
The secret is related to His covenant; the
covenant of the promise redemption for the whole house of Israel. The Christians
were given the revelations (the church was made secret before) in order for
them to know that they too are included in the kingdom. The Jews shall be given
another “wonderful gift” in these last days. When the secret is revealed to the
Jewish elect, the result is like showing
them His covenant. The secret of the Lord will be given to the congregation
(the messianics) of the Lord who feared
Him (the Jewish elect, Mal 3:16)
Then those who feared the LORD
spoke with one another. The LORD paid attention and heard them, and a book of
remembrance was written before
him of those who feared the LORD and
esteemed his name.
The book of remembrance which is the sofer
of Elijah, testifies the loving mercy of God to Israel as He remembers His covenant
He made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is the book where God remembers His
promises made to these patriarchs assuring the Jewish people of a complete
redemption. As the Apostle Paul has said, “so all Israel will be saved”.
Does a believer in
Yeshua HaMachiach (Jesus Christ) need this secret?
A gentile or Jewish believer in Yeshua does
not need this additional signs, wonders, or secret in the end times. The
Bible is complete for him. He does not need
the afikomen (dessert) after the
meal. Why? The Haggadah says “the wise son does not need the dessert after the
Paschal lamb is sacrificed”. The Jewish believer in Yeshua is the wise son (for
Yeshua, the Paschal Lamb has already been sacrificed).
The Illuminator
which is to come and the Secret to be revealed
Mar 4:21
And he said unto them, Is a lamp to be brought to be put under a
bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a lampstand?
Mar 4:22 For there is nothing hidden, which
shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should become known.
One of the many sayings of Yeshua is about
the lamp (illuminator) and the revealing of the secret. In order to understand
this passage one needs to note that there are two meanings which our Lord
Yeshua intended for the seemingly similar passages that is written also in
Matthew and Luke. In reality, these have different meanings and which many
commentaries failed to understand. Many commentaries erroneously believe they
are one and the same – a repetition of sort. JFB commented:
Is a candle — or “lamp”
(illuminator)
brought to be put
under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
— “that they which enter in may see the light” (Luk_8:16). See on Mat_5:15,
of which this is nearly a repetition.
We humbly disagree with JFB’s commentary. The
meaning of these passages are not the same. When Jesus said, “Is a lamp to be
brought”, it actually has a literal translation of “Is the illuminator that is
to come…” Why is the illuminator (lamp) coming? Isn’t this weird? Did the
author Mark make an error in using the word?
The word rendered “to be brought” is the
Greek erchomai. (Strong number G2064)

When the Illuminator
has come, the long held secret of God cannot be hidden anymore. The afikomen is
now found. That illuminator is both the bible code and the exposition of the
whole creation.
In Tractate Pesachim, it says: “Ein maftirin
achar haPesach afikomen.” Translated as “We may not conclude the seder meal,
after eating the Pesach offering with afikomen.”
At first thought there seems to be a contradiction
in this tractate passage since the Jewish people traditionally see the eating
of the Afikomen as one that concludes the Seder. So how can we reconcile this
seemingly innocuous enigma?
The expositions (Sofer with Bible codes) of
the coming Elijah should not end the Seder because for one it only serves as an
eye opener to the truth before the
true Moschiach is revealed. Secondly, there is a need to continue digesting the
word of God in the next age – the messianic age. Therefore, one should not end
the Pesach (Passover service) with the Afikomen.
